For lawyers, accountants and corporate finance

We help protect your client's deal and its value.

When a deal depends on a founder, I measure what still rests on that person, with evidence, and run the handover with the team, with a monthly report on what has moved.

Freedom Architects: from one person's head to a system your team runs.

Where I fit

Three situations your clients bring you.

Your client is buying

Before signing, then the first 100 days

A Pre-deal Survey in three weeks shows what rests on the founder, with evidence and a 100-day transfer calendar. After completion, the 100-Day Transfer runs the handover with the management team.

For buyers
Your client is selling

Ready 12 to 24 months ahead

The Blueprint and Build, timed to finish before due diligence starts, so the team carries the day to day before buyers look. You run the sale; I get the business ready for it.

How it works
Your client is stepping back

A handover to a team or a successor

To a management team, the next generation or an employee ownership trust. Each area gets a tested deputy first, and the founder chooses what they take on.

How I work

Alongside your advice, on your client's side.

  1. 01

    One side per deal

Never the buyer and the seller of the same business.

  2. 02

    No price or deal advice

That stays with the corporate finance adviser and lawyer.

  3. 03

    One client

The client is whoever commissions the work. Every report says who that is.

  4. 04

    Interim managers and new hires

Where a second line is missing, I work alongside the interim manager or the new hire.

Formal valuation, price advice, contract terms, tax, legal advice and recruitment searches stay with you and the other advisers. I never ask for or hold email, chat or phone records, and I do not promise the outcome of a handover: I commit to the method, the measurement and an honest monthly report.

Proof · a real client

Mike's property business, scored twice.

A real client, not an illustration: turnover around £40M a year, now in seven countries. At the start of our work Mike had the final say on 20 of 20 recurring decisions and took no holidays. Today ten of those decisions are handed over, and in October 2026 he left for a four-week holiday. Approximate figures. Mike is happy to take a reference call. Read the case study.

Questions advisers ask

Working together.

How do you work with deal advisers?

Alongside them, on the client's side of the deal. Formal valuation, price advice, contract terms, tax and legal advice stay with the corporate finance adviser, the lawyer and the accountant. I measure what rests on the founder and run the handover, and every report says who commissioned it.

Who is the client?

Whoever commissions the work, usually the buyer or the founder. One side per deal: never the buyer and the seller of the same business, and no Pre-deal Survey on a company we prepared for sale.

What evidence do you produce?

A scorecard of 20 indicators across five areas, each with its measured value and the evidence behind its colour; the five riskiest dependencies and what each bears on in the deal; a transfer calendar; and what could not be confirmed, stated plainly. Green needs a document plus confirmation from someone other than the founder.

What data do you ask for?

Documents of the kind buyers and accountants already ask for, founder and manager interviews, and an anonymous team survey where the business agrees. We never ask for or hold email logs, WhatsApp, Slack, internal chat or phone records. Survey results are shown only for groups of five or more.

Can you help a business already in an earn-out?

On request, yes. The Earn-out Reset is a short version of the same method: a fresh survey, a quick transfer and a monthly test report. Ask on a 20-minute call.

Where do you work?

In English, across the UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland and the Netherlands, from London and Istanbul.
