Who we are
Freedom Architects is a trading name of Mindful Mind Consultancy LLC, which is the controller of the personal information described on this page. Questions go to Gökhan Üç at [email protected].
Information you give us
When you use the contact form, the Self-Check or the valuation tool, or when you write to us, we receive your name, email address, company, role and anything else you choose to tell us.
We use it to reply, to send the results you asked for and to follow up on your enquiry. The lawful basis is the steps you ask us to take before a possible contract, and our legitimate interest in answering business enquiries.
Information we find about you in your business role
Each week we contact a small number of people who work in our field: buyers of businesses, their advisers, and owners of established companies. Before we write, we read public business sources: Companies House, your company's website, business news, your public LinkedIn profile, event listings and business contact databases.
We keep your name, role, company, business contact details and public facts about the company. We do not look at personal social media accounts, and we do not record health, family or private-life information.
We use this to judge whether our work is relevant to you and to write to you about it. The lawful basis is legitimate interests. We have weighed our interests against yours in a written assessment, and you can ask to see it.
We write by LinkedIn or by email. We only email addresses at limited companies and LLPs, every email says who it is from, and a one-line reply stops further messages. We write at most three times. If you do not reply, we stop.
Your right to object
You can object at any time to us using your information to contact you about our services. Reply "no thanks" to any message, or email us. We stop at once and delete your file. We keep only your name and company on a do-not-contact list, so that we never write to you again.
Who else sees it
We do not sell or rent personal information. These service providers handle it for us and act on our instructions:
- Google: email and website analytics
- Cloudflare: website hosting and spam protection on our forms
- Resend: delivering form messages to our inbox
Where it is held
We work from London and Istanbul, so your information may be accessed from Türkiye. Some of our providers store data in the United States. When information leaves the UK, we use the safeguards UK data protection law requires for that transfer.
The UK Founder Dependency Study
If you take part in our founder study, we keep your answers and our notes from the conversation to produce the study and your own comparison. The lawful basis is your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. Results are reported only for groups of five or more firms, with no business or person named. We delete your individual answers within 12 months of the study summary being published, or sooner if you ask.
How long we keep it
- A research file on someone who never replies: deleted after six months.
- If you ask us to stop: deleted at once, with only the do-not-contact record kept.
- Enquiries and client work: as long as the work needs, and accounting records for six years.
Website analytics
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets cookies, so it runs only if you click Accept in the cookie bar. If you reject, or make no choice, Google Analytics is not loaded at all. IP addresses are anonymised and advertising features are switched off.
We remember your choice in your browser's local storage. You can change it at any time with the cookie settings link at the foot of every page.
Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of your information, correct it, delete it, limit how we use it, or send it to you in a portable format. You can also object to how we use it. Email us and we will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113. We would be glad of the chance to put it right first.
Changes
If the way we use personal information changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
